Dyslexic and with attention deficit (Ritalin kid), I managed to become a certified public accountant through sheer determination and effort, despite some stumbles along the way.
In my professional career, I first developed in the financial sector from 2000 to 2005 at the firm BG&V (Bado, Guerra y Vargas) Financial Services.
Subsequently, I entered the audiovisual field because I thought this profession was the most similar to that of a rock star without the need to know how to play an instrument – something I attempted repeatedly as a child with the guitar and electric bass, never progressing beyond “Yellow Submarine.” In 2008, I emigrated to Buenos Aires with my wife Dolores to focus on executive production, achieving extraordinary results by filming for the most prestigious companies in the market (Quilmes, Telefónica, Volkswagen, Banco Ciudad, Banco Supervielle, HSBC, Santander, among others) and gaining recognition in local and international festivals (Cannes Festival, Ojo de Iberoamérica, Lapiz de Platino, etc.).
In December 2014, our first daughter, Guadalupe, was born. Along with this event, we decided to return to our beloved country, Uruguay, so that I could dedicate myself to production services. Since then I have managed to work with the most prestigious international production companies and directors, including Saigon, Stink, Central Films, Rebolucion, Primo, Argentina Cine, among others.
In 2021, I decided to start my own production company. Fortunately, the production director with whom I worked for six years and on countless projects, proposed to be my partner. She is also my perfect professional complement. I discovered that I am passionate about this profession – a vocational test at 17 had suggested it, but I either ignored it or didn’t know how to interpret it clearly.
I can say that my greatest attribute is that I feel absolute LOVE when producing and can do it for hours. When I finish a project, I experience an indescribable feeling of satisfaction and well-being… It’s as if, in that moment, I feel COMPLETE.
I am not a cinephile; I haven’t seen all the cult films, I am not independent cinema lover, nor am I an avid reader of novels. But I am very good at interpreting the needs and requirements to film a story and do not stop until I achieve the best production design in all areas.
